Is Hydrogen Therapy safe? Best Practices and Contraindications

With every sip of hydrogen water our bodies are flushed with trillions of hydrogen molecules. H2 is an effective molecule to scavenge or pair up with toxic hydroxyl radicals in the body that need to be neutralized. Hydrogen therapy is safe and there is no upper limit of use. The more water you drink infused with hydrogen the better. The only water more powerful is magnesium bicarbonate water, or water with a mixture of sodium bicarbonate, potassium bicarbonate and magnesium.
Best practice would be to concentrate on using these substances in your drinking water, or using hydrogen water as a base water to add these other substances. Hydrogen inhalation is the best way to intake hydrogen especially if oxygen is combined as it is in my favorite hydrogen inhalation machines. One might also enjoy bathing in hydrogen water and there are machines designed just for that. If one is looking for maximum benefits, especially to the skin then make hydrogen bathing a frequent thing.
There is no toxicity to H2 because the by-product of the free-radical neutralizing reaction is water. Each molecule of H2 will neutralize 2 hydroxyl radicals into two molecules of H2O, hydrating your cells in the process. Hydrogen water at a concentration of 1.6 mg/L would have more “antioxidant” molecules than 100 mg of vitamin C, as there are more total molecules in 1.6 mg of hydrogen compared to 100 mg of vitamin C.
